Planet Eclipse made its professional debut of its latest marker in its collection at the NXL Lone Star Major this month , and it is a beautiful piece of machinery . Aimed at the aspiring Pro Paintball player who is serious about developing skills and looking for a competitive edge , the GTEK 180R promises the performance needed to work up the ladder at a reasonable price .
The 180R runs on the latest variant of the OPCore Drivetrain that was launched with the CS3 . This version is a smaller , streamlined version called the OP-R Core , and delivers a super-low operating pressure . New body styling and rear grips give it a fresh look while staying in the classic Planet Eclipse style , and a reduced profile that makes it thinner in the hand . Planet also added the S63 three-piece barrels system which has been internally micro-honed for precision and uses the same PWR Inserts as the S63 Pro .
Planet also took ease of use into consideration on this edition with a single screw on either side of the grip . The previous series had two screws per side which made disassembly and maintenance a bit more cumbersome .
