Quick snapshot , if you were not there you missed one of the most fun and imaginative events , I have been a part of . Here is what Dreaded Legends by CPX events looked like from the perspective of a member of the Head Hunterz paintball team .
We originally started the event playing for the red team , led by David “ Rojo ” Odell and the Psycho Clown Posses . We were super excited to play with the clowns for a good change of pace . Every event that we had played in with the clowns , they were always on the opposite side . Our most recent event being Hawaiian Legends . Anytime there is a Head Hunterz and Psycho Clown Posse battle is gets pretty intense . We would finally be able to get to see what we could do on the field together .
Our opposition was led by Matt “ Vanilla Gorilla ” Copeland from Modern Day Pirates .
We had played for him the previous year . However , due to some issues that came up throughout events in the previous season due to our uniforms having a lot of red in it , our team decided to play red at every event this season to ensure that there was no confusion as to which side we were playing .
For our team Paintball events are 80 % hangout with friends and family , 20 % gameplay . What I mean by this is that we all love this amazing sport and play with maximum effort , but our main reason we do this is because of each other . Head Hunterz isn ’ t just a paintball team , we ’ re a big sometimes dysfunctional family . Every event is like a family reunion .
Dreaded Legends started for a few of us on Thursday . We showed up and set up our campsite at a local RV park and hung out on the beach while enjoying a few drinks .
