April showers marks the Tri-State Xball League ’ s ( TSXL ) first event of the 2022 season . The two-day competition located at Long Live Paintball in Monroe , New Jersey brought some of the top teams in the region , playing in three divisions and on two fields .
Saturday , Day One of the competition saw Division Three and Division Five play . Eight teams fought for a chance at the gold . John Doe-z would ultimately take the day with a finals victory over Noobies . Third place went to 88 Squad with a victory over New York PayLoad with Geo Cordero taking home the D3 TSXL MVP Award
In D5 with a field of 16 teams , Slug King would claim victory over Step Bro ’ s D5 with Brian Frey taking home the TSXL MVP award . Third place victory gets awarded to
Wolves D5 after their win against Pirates D5 . Sunday , Day 2 saw D4 battling both overcast conditions and 20 highly capable teams . With temperatures reaching a maximum of 45 ° Wolves blackout would whether the elements and come out in a 2-1 victory over F . A . C . K . Third place would go to Step Bros in a victory over Wolves D4 . The D4 TSXL MVP Award goes to John Sevell for his finals performance .
