More Than a Game, An Experience From February 13 – 15, OhanaPB brought players together at Maui Paintball for the biannual scenario that Hawaii and so-called“ Mainlanders” wait for. Set against the rugged beauty of Maui, this year’ s gathering carried deep meaning as The Jessica Cortez Memorial Event, honoring a beloved member of the community whose spirit of unity and aloha continues to inspire the OhanaPB family.
Rather than themed teams, the sides were split by colors- Pink and Purple- and were led by the local young guns who happen to be sisters, Hope and Heaven Ah Sing. The colors were more than just team identifiers; they represented remembrance, strength, and solidarity, in honor of Jessica Cortez who passed away suddenly in May of 2024, taking a piece of the local community’ s heart with her.
