“ It was a layout which I prefer ,” Chris said . “ It was a dream playing on the beach . When in the midst of play you do forget the location , of course , yet wearing gloves is really helpful as it protected my skin from the sand .”
A moment Chris will remember and brings a real ‘ girl power ’ moment to this game the owner congratulated Chris and rightly so said she is a really good player .
International Womens ’ Day was 8th March , and in line with that date having a female player playing international Pro was amazing . The spectators , the incredibly relaxed and happy atmosphere , the media teams and photos in this setting by the tropical sea shore made this event a special one .
I asked Chris what her favourite moment was .
“ After my six year break , playing this event in Asia was the greatest gift ,” she said . “ I am still taking it all in . The paintball adventure was when the owner of the team looked at her and asked the boys , “ Are you sure she can play ?”
But the OG boys smiled and said , “ Yes !”
Keeping that reaction in mind these guys motivated her more . Then , after the community when travelling truly feels like one big family as we share the same passion and lifestyle . Meeting old friends , meeting new amazing people ... it doesn ’ t matter where you come from , how old you are , what your profession is . It is the love of our sport which connects us . I am so grateful for this unforgettable memory .”
