Welcome to the Kings Cup hosted by the Thailand Xball League ( TXBL ). The dreamy tournament setting that took place between the 21st and 23rd February 2025 , at Jomtien Beach , in Pattaya , Thailand .
I have asked my teammate on the WNXLE team Drakaina , and pro female player Chris van Weidman-Truong to detail her adventure . Chris has been playing paintball for years and we ’ ve been adversaries at times . An international player from Switzerland , she ’ s a great player , a tactician and loves to travel playing our sport .
She started playing major league events 23 years ago . With over 20 years tournament experience , now retired from Great Britain paintball after a run on 12 years representing . Shelley has played for iconic teams such as the London Tigers , Destiny and Poison Ivy . Most recent WNXL world cups with Femmes Fatale .
This is my first article for Paintball . Media and I hope it stays with you as I take you to a far-off place , with warm white sands , blue seas , palm trees , outstanding hospitality , and of course … paintball . Like all adventures , it started with an idea and Chris knew players from Switzerland who had been travelling to Thailand for three years pre-season . Each year they invited her , and this year she accepted .
The home team , OG Boys from Pattaya , invited Chris to play with them at the King ’ s Cup . The OG Boys were excited for Chris to fly over , and they printed her a team jersey straight away . We know that when that happens , you ’ re committed no matter what . Chris ’ s journey to paintball paradise started on 12th February
