The event took place at Jomtien Beach , Pattaya , which provided a stunning sunset backdrop for competitive paintball . When was the last time a major tournament was held on a beach ? Huntington Beach , USA , comes to mind but that era ended before I started traveling for paintball . The set-up on the beach was world-class – a turf field set on the sand , spectator seating , scoreboards and even a free live feed with commentary . The unique location didn ’ t just draw competitors ; it brought old friends back into the game . I had the chance to reconnect with friends from Russia , Kuwait , Australia , U . S . and more .
Beyond The Field : The Thailand Experience Pattaya is a vibrant beach city that I might have accidentally visited more than 10 times . It ’ s just a short flight from Singapore , after all ! Its charm is irresistible . After our games , we would dive straight into Thailand ’ s famous street food scene . Jomtien Night Market was our favourite dinner spot where a few dollars would get us Chicken Pad Thai from the famous Mr Boom stall , Mango Sticky Rice and crispy Nutella Pancake . But , if I had to disclose a guilty pleasure ? Thailand ’ s legendary 7-Eleven . I could probably live off their famous CP shrimp dumplings , seafood glass noodles and chilled guava with Thai sweet-spicy dip for an entire year . Beyond food , Pattaya has something for everyone – whether it ’ s single origin expresso at the local café , beachfront bars or lively entertainment districts . Whatever your style , Pattaya delivers .
