Nary a detail was missed when putting together the TXBL King ’ s Cup , right down to the livestream ( Watch it here : https :// www . youtube . com /@ TxblChannel ). Leaving no stone unturned Guch , Khun X and all involved hired an excellent livestream company to help show off this event to the world — oh and by the way , brought in Rich Telford and other on-air talent to make this thing sing .
The Games
They say here in Thailand that the Asian teams rank about two steps down from the U . S . and European teams . In other words , a Division Two team here would be comparable to a Division Four team in the U . S . or Europe . They also say the clothing here is two steps smaller than
U . S . sizes . I didn ’ t see evidence of either . I am wearing a Thai size XL Nike shirt as I write this and I wear a L at home . OK , I ’ m off the rails ….
To me proof of the higher level of play than advertised here is YaZvezda Desperados , a team that had Leonid Smotrov and Denis Golev , both current Red Legion NXL players on its Division One roster , finished in third place . Alexey Skaballanovich , a Pro player from Red Storm also had a dozen spins with YaZvezda Desperados .
What I saw is Division One play that looked every bit as good as the U . S . midlevel Semipro or Division Two teams . The games were fast and furious . Teams were aggressive and not afraid to make moves at any of the three Divisional levels .
