How would you like to eat a big plate of authentic Pad Thai on the beach for under $ 1.50 USD ? Or maybe a plate of shrimp tempura for under $ 3 ? Maybe you prefer a tall frozen drink with a few umbrellas and straws in it for $ 2 ? If none of that appeals to you , maybe you ’ d like to take a 35-cent ferry to a tropical island just 12 kilometers off the beautiful beach you ’ re already standing on ?
Ok , if amazing food , beautiful beaches and cheap adult beverages don ’ t do it for you , I ’ m guessing this will ... how about a professional paintball sports arena custom built right on the sands of Pattaya ’ s Jomtien Beach--with incredible grandstands , more than
50 food carts and stalls right across the street , $ 30 hotel nights close enough to the field that you can see it from the lobby , beautiful stable turf , more refs than
David Guch
you can count on two hands on the field ... and oh yeah , dignitaries of the highest honor who paid for or supported this event , watching you ball ? Welcome to the Thailand Xball Leauge ’ s ( TXBL ) King ’ s Cup , an event that truly lived up to its name .
In full transparency I am at the point in my career in paintball journalism where I cherry-pick which events I go to . Sorry , but I ’ m just not attending your event in Fargo , North Dakota in November . I came to this one for all of the above reasons … the food , the beaches , the Thai culture , the weather , the sun , the bargain prices on everything , for another chance to spend time with friends , for a chance to make new friends , and yes , I came for the paintball . # Locationmatters . And I was fortunate enough to be able to spend 17 amazing days in this beautiful paradise they call Thailand .
