footage , tournament game footage and more . To the left was the awards stage and its full stage width video screen . To the right were two large and mostly packed fully stocked bars . And straight ahead were a dozen or so very large couches . Just beautiful .
When the doors opened just before 7PM , the crowd was just arriving . By 8PM there were more than 700 paintball players and industry personnel on site . It was a literal “ who ’ s who ” of paintball , with people like Rock Cagnoni , Ryan Greenspan , Billy Ceranski , Marcello Margott , Tyler Harmon , Dave “ Opie ” Thomas , Wolf Critchlow , Brian Barno , Todd Ancich , Shane Pestana , Adam Gardner , Matty Marshall and hundreds of pro and divisional players all hanging out in the crowd . VIP Cabanas with large flatscreen TVs were presold to those that wanted a more intimate experience or to host a party within the party .
The most seen face in the crowd was clearly Alex Fraige of San Diego Dynasty ( as if you didn ’ t know ). Fraige was the event ’ s MC and he was fantastic . There were a ton ( too many ) awards so the pace was fast and furious with little fanfare as each award was handed out . And by the time the first few awards were given out the crowd had grown beyond 850 people , mostly standing and all cheering for each award .
