There is nothing quite as sadistically fun as a final battle . Much akin to ancient battles , two armies met on opposite sides of the field to batter and coerce their will and oppression onto the other team , the only difference was the slapsticks ( no historian has reported ancient slapsticks to date ). The calm before the storm is a witches brew of nerves , anticipation , fear , bloodlust and ambition . The battle plan was simple , the execution was painful . At unknown intervals whatever color that was present on the slapstick was scored . All players had to make it to the 50 yard line to score the slapsticks for their team and avoid 400 plus opponents trying to paint them at 280 fps like some angry Picasso . There should be a warning sign on the Black Ops Paintball / CPX Final Battle field that reads “ Legends are made here !” It is the place where dreams are fulfilled as well as nightmares . A player could dodge all the paint on his / her way to the slapstick , successfully change it to their color while being pulverized by their opponent , and go back to respawn only to see that the slapstick was changed immediately after their efforts . They would just simply rinse and repeat . The intense pride and fire that wells up inside the savage player that is brave and courageous enough to score points for their team is legendary ; it acts as a shield for the very next jaunt to the slapstick . There are very few adventures that compare to a final battle and only the true warriors are brave enough to try it . Both teams battled each other impressively , but the most impressive feat of the final battle was the Solstice Law was able to keep the “ cease fires ” to a minimum and the action to a maximum . www . paintball . media
