You had a thriving multi-location paintball retail business in Bad Boyz Toyz . Did the market crash in the mid-2000s kill retail paintball stores or was it the online distributors ?

Market saturation , wholesalers selling direct to consumers , online sales , the market crash leading to the great recession , all lead and contributed to rapidly declining sales for brick and mortar retailers . Paintball and other non-mainstream sports took an additional hit as being more want than need . you face to face before investing . But with the cultural shift to online shopping and the low overhead high volume price advantage they had the writing was on the wall . We were too top heavy to pivot , with multi-year leases , dozens and dozens of employees , along with myriad other overhead concerns .
