Tim and the All A ’ s played in two of our events in NY . Tim and I immediately started discussing the possibility of future events and other locations , Pittsburgh being one of them but the time just wasn ’ t right . The problem was the lack of mechanical interest and markers . Everyone had electro ’ s at the time and mech just wasn ’ t working .
Now here ’ s where things got going . The Autococker Fight Club held a mech-only Hyperball event at Badlandz and put on a relatively decent small event and this event changed everything . This event proved that a mech-only event was a viable format , teams would actually participate and travel to do so .
The interest in woodsball really started to get legs and Rob Anderson got in the game hosting the Bay City Open in Northern California , Tom Cole had the UWL and I
had the Woodsball World Cup in N . Y .
In 2017 Tim Montressor got in touch with me and asked if I had a problem with him doing an event in Pittsburgh and if myself and the Blasters would support this event ? I told him to count us in , and well , the rest is history !
So , to answer your question “ who get ’ s the credit ?” All of us ! Everyone that had the foresight and the perseverance to work toward bringing this great format back . All of us that got out and played the events , spent endless hours on the phone together supporting each other and our events , all the teams that attended those events , the field owners , the sponsors and most of all the players .
And credit …. I never did anything in paintball for credit !

You were basically a kid when Adrenalin Paintball took off as a company . What was it like being a teenager running a million dollar a year paintball business ?

Honestly , we ran it the way so many teenagers or twenty-somethings would in paintball . Our goal wasn ’ t profit ( we still don ’ t have that goal or make much ) but we had a goal to make the best gun anywhere and play paintball for free . While we could have invested more wisely and run it a little more like a traditional company , we did get to travel the world ( Skydome , Toulouse , etc .) for free with our friends . I don ’ t regret it one bit . www . paintball . media
