What is it like to be the son and nephew of three legendary paintball players ? inaugural Iron City Classic event . To be one of the few teams able to play the event , to be around all of these amazing players , to watch everyone interact , to compete against some of the best past , and current pros in the world , it was truly something amazing that Tim and his crew put together .
The Maliszewski name means a lot to the paintball world in so many ways . The story of three brothers coming up together , battling through the ranks to ultimately come back together to create Image , one of the scariest teams to play against . They were World Champions , and after the team folded , members of Image went on to achieve amazing results as well , be it teams , field ownership , industry leaders … Image bred success on and off the field .
The first time I it really hit me how special my dad is to the game was watching the movie “ Sunday Drivers .” I can ’ t really put words to the emotions it brings , but to watch some of the best players in the game talk about my dad and his teammates the way they did , it makes one want to make that kind of impact in their own life in some way .

There have been a lot of podcasts and videos with members of Image current and past , stories shared amongst old friends and teammates , but at the core of the question , what ’ s it like ? I ’ ve got three of the greatest living examples of paintball , each one with their own unique characteristics that made them defining players in their own right . I cannot be my dad , Rich , or Greg . But I would like to think I have a combo of all three , but most importantly ; I am me . I have my own play style , personal style , that is unique , but it ’ s mine . On the field is one thing . But for me as I reflect on what I have written , it ’ s the experience of watching my Dad and his brothers at an event , seeing people come up and talk to them , hear the stories they have . I get a front row seat to some of the juiciest stories , laughs , shenanigans that I can never say ! I ’ m so lucky , and thankful , this game has given so much to my life and my family . I only hope that I can represent the name as well as they have . And to be surrounded with great teammates , friends , and family , I couldn ’ t ask for anything more .
