players get ready for the game and once the players arrive at the field , be there to help them have the best experience they can . This can be more than some people are willing to commit to as it can place an additional load on their personal lives as well . These leaders also are your planners throughout the year . They not only help recruit , but they help with communications to and from the players throughout the year . These leaders also help you with your strategy for the game and if that all goes wrong people can have a bad time , but in the end making hard decisions is your choice and some work and some do not . It ’ s all part of the game .
At games like Oklahoma D-Day and Fulda Gap something else happens , something
very special . The Game Staff , Generals , Commanders and players become one huge paintball family . So , in the end what being a “ General ” is that you are responsible for your extended family ’ s vacation playing a game in the sport that they all love .
After commanding at Oklahoma D-Day and Fulda Gap , I have now taken the next step in the progression of leadership at Fulda Gap . In 2021 ( with a lot of help from my extended paintball family ) I will be taking on the responsibility of game promotor and field manager for the event . I expect my paintball family will become a whole lot bigger and I can ’ t wait to see what the future brings . www . paintball . media
