What has kept you in the game for more than 30 years ?

Well , to start it was an opportunity to get together with 30 or 40 guys and do guy stuff . About eight minutes into my first game , I discovered the “ adrenaline surge ” people talk about . I had felt it before , while skateboarding or skiing … but nothing like this ! My brother says that I have a paintball lodged in my pituitary .
Then I went to the Cal-Mag Amateur Open and I was done . The circus tent , the industry giants , the gear , the players , the acrobats and the clowns . And I met Hollywood ( aka Ken Gilder ) and I had finally found my tribe . There were thousands of ballers there , and all were welcome . The only discrimination seemed to be against the pros .

What has kept you in the game for more than 30 years ?

This sport to me is more than a business , it ’ s about someone ’ s true love for what they do . From the first time I picked up a marker I knew this was something cool . What makes the difference is what happened next and that was taking my love for the sport along with seeing a bigger picture , a better way , something innovative and a possibility to forever change this game .
For the past 30 + years I have made my mark in this sport and many industry changing innovations under my belt . Everything I have done was for the love of the sport , the love for the players that have supported us from day one , and the surreal opportunities and friendships made .
