What is your greatest memory in all of your years as writer and editor for Action Pursuit Games Magazine .

I have so many great memories from my paintball days even before joining the staff at APG . If Curtis wasn ’ t such a tightwad ( I ’ m sure he ’ ll agree with me here .) it would have been more fun but I can ’ t complain . I got paid to play paintball ! I always paid my own way and never got reimbursed for my travels , but I was able to write everything off as a business expense .
My most memorable events always seemed to include Mike Cassady , Marty Tripes , and Tim Schloss . There ’ s no way you ’ re NOT going to have a good time if those guys are around . One such time was at Tim Schloss ’ s Big Game just outside of St . Louis . Fred Schultz was the captain of one team and Darryl Trent was the captain of the other . Sal Briguglio and Total Greif ( That ’ s how they spelled it .) were the refs .
I don ’ t remember which side won or how many times I got shot . I do remember our lunch break .
Tim ’ s field had a small lake or pond . We were all tired and sweaty , so Marty Tripes decides to go for a swim . While Marty was floating on his back , someone on shore yells , “ Thar she blows !” Marty rights himself and starts running to shore . Mike Cassady , who was minding his own business relaxing trying to take a nap appears to be Marty ’ s target . Marty shouts out , “ Have you ever seen a whale do this ?” and belly flops on top of Cassady . I ’ m sure I heard a rib crack ! Poor Mike is in obvious discomfort but takes it all in stride . I thought I would never stop laughing . I ’ ve got other stories , but I don ’ t think they ’ re even close to that one . www . paintball . media
