You ’ ve been promoting and running successful scenario games for decades . What is the one thing you are most proud about with the games you run ?

I ’ m afraid there are two answers , because I am equally-proud of both , and I feel that both are equally-important .
First is the community . I have seen so many awesome things from the community of players at my events over the last twentyfive years . We have had some pass away and watched others step up to do things for their families , or for young players in their memory . We ’ ve seen family tragedies ( hurricanes , fires , etc .) and watched the players step up to help . Medical issues and cancer , players getting their homes or cars broken into and losing all their gear , fires , anything you can imagine .... and the players come together as a community and do great things to help .
Second is the reputation I have built for accountability and being straight with the players . Sometimes the score is 3,000 to 1050 . If that ’ s what happened that ’ s what I tell the players . The final battle isn ’ t “ coincidentally ” enough for the losing side to pull off a last-minute win . The losing side doesn ’ t get easy bonus missions to help them catch up . If the score isn ’ t going to be legitimate what ’ s the point of keeping score ? If the final battle will always decide the victor why not just score that part and ignore the rest ? Honestly , I can ’ t see fudging the score and then standing up in front of all of those paying customers who trust you , and lying to them . If it was a real ass-whipping they all know it and they know you ’ re lying to them . I appreciate and respect the players at my events , far too much , to do that to them . I think it ’ s disrespectful .
