D4

Division 4 was true to form and erratic by nature. New Jersey Filthy took home the gold medal and slid into third place overall, coming off of a rough 29th place finish in Tampa. What a rebound.
Lords, a team that made the trip all of the way from Valencia, CA took home the silver medal. Though, if history repeats, they will not return to another NXL event for the remainder of the season. Time will tell.
Coup Athletics, currently in first place overall in D4, went home from Dover with a bronze.

Bear Ridge 5 proved that the BR Factory system runs deep by taking home a silver in D5. They were bested 4-1 in the finals by New Jersey Filthy, who took home a gold medal to match that of their brothers in D4.

3v3

Pro

In a venture to make the Professional Paintball experience more palatable to the layperson and casual sports consumer, Major League Paintball launched the experiment with the Pro 3v3 series. The concept is to create a more dynamic game with few moving pieces that is easier to digest through a telecast, and to establish East and West conferences to maximize the potential for more frequent, local events. Though the tournaments are currently structured with both conferences playing concurrently, there is no interplay, and the rankings are split to make space for the season to culminate in a conference head-to-head match.
At the opening event in Tampa, San Antonio X-Factor, Detroit Infamous, and Edmonton Impact took the 1,2, and 3 spots for the West. Home teams Tampa Bay Damage and Orlando Red Legion took first and second in the Eastern conference with Texas Hurricanes taking a bronze.
Structured into eight brackets of three teams, the competition in this division flies. Each bracket contains one semipro team, opening up opportunities for semipro players to compete on the next level, and it has been hot. However, not one semipro team has made it into the semi-finals as of yet.
In the Western Conference, Impact claimed both the first place win in Dover and in the rankings overall. Second place X-Factor dropped behind with a rough fifth place, and despite a great performance by the LA Ironmen that brought them a silver medal at Mid-Atlantic, the Ironmen are still lingering in the middle of the pack for the West. www. paintball. media
