On the other hand, Gulf Coast Ragtag Army, the team that won Tampa, did not travel as well and did not make finals this go around. Second place in Division 2 went to C. Ward Electric( CWE) Power, a team out of Matt’ s Outback that put the work in during the 2025 season and finished with a respectable 10th place overall, but failed to make it to Tampa this season. If they can be consistent in their appearances, expect to see Power do well in the 2026 series.
But consistency will be key here. Of the 27 teams already in the D2 ranks, 15 of them have already missed one of the two events. This is where you will likely see seasoned teams like Corrupt, who had a disappointing seventh place finish at Mid- Atlantic, and the Noobies, who took the fourth place spot in Dover, perform well over the long haul.
D3
As always, Division 3 is where the rubber meets the road, and at Dover Raceway, it was Smoke and BR Factory who brought the heat.
Smoke went undefeated in a nasty prelim bracket that included the likes of BR Factory, the Noobies, and Filthy. They fought a hardened match up against Protocol, a team that has been well-funded and on the grind for the past three seasons, in the semis, and came away with a nailbiter 4-3 win. And they then went on to face Legacy Gorillas, the team who ultimately came away with gold, in the semifinals. Although Smoke’ s journey for the Mid-Atlantic ended without a medal, their solid performance kept them in the fifth place slot for the season.
BR Factory had a similar weekend. They too went undefeated in the same bracket as Smoke( they’ re head-to-head match counting as a tie since they were already both qualified to move ahead as top seeds). They then gutted out two wins over Eastside and GTF Raiders respectively to earn a finals berth. The slog of a match between Bear Ridge and Legacy Gorillas ended in a disgustingly hard fought 1-0 by the Gorillas, but it truly could have gone either way.
And respect to Legacy for taking home a wellearned gold and establishing themselves as the standout leaders in Division 3. These guys are going to be a force to be reckoned with in 2026.
