Now in its 18th year, Living Legends at Hell Survivors Paintball in Michigan has been an iconic scenario event since its outset. Born out of a“ wouldn’ t it be cool if” conversation between Sean Scott, Craig Miller, and Paul Dagnino of Challenge Park Xtreme( CPX), Living Legends was created to bring players who have left their mark on the sport of paintball out to play alongside the next generation of ballers. The concept was to create a space where young players could meet experienced players and learn where the sport we love came from.
Over the course of a decade, it would evolve into a platform on which the history of paintball itself was honored as players and industry professionals were honored and inducted into the paintball Hall of Fame.
Last year, the event went through an overhaul. Instead of focusing solely on the history of the sport of paintball, writer Kristy Barno added a mythological theme to the event- giving it a storyline in addition to the history lesson. The first edition revolved around the legends and lore of Greek and Roman folklore. This year, it was spun around Egyptian and Viking legends. According to Barno, the original event mythology located at the Crossroads( a place of limbo) kept by Sigrún, Keeper www of the. paintball Crossroads. media
