On Saturday morning, the traditional Supergame kicked off on field, with players competing over hourly flag hands, and they were given a chance to check out industry staples at the swap meet off field.
Blue understood the assignment for the big game portion of the event and they made an enormous comeback, by coordinating assets like the timed, motorized tanks to establish and hold field control. As the day wound down to Saturday’ s final battle, Blue had bested the Red team in flag hangs 4-3.
On Saturday night, players and attendees enjoyed a massive barbecue supplied by Holy Smoker BBQ who had spent the day smoking meat while the players built up their appetites with game play.
On Sunday morning, a chapel service was held at 7:30 and a new tradition was made as John“ Preacher” Vance said a prayer with the referee staff, a special moment of reflection that was not missed amidst the chaos of the battle.
But the tranquility was short lived as players soon hit the field for the Sunday Domination Game. From the four hours, both teams tried their hardest to push the other team back into their insertion points and own the day. And it was the Blue team’ s day. Scoring 280 to Red’ s 160, Blue reclaimed the lead going into the final battle.
When the time came for awards, it was announced that the Blue team was victorious by the slimmest of margins: Blue came away victorious 785-782.
