A Weekend to Remember
My biggest takeaway from Nawasia wasn’ t a highlight reel of eliminations or flag pulls. It was watching a family in motion— imperfect, hilarious, and inspiring. It reminded me of what W. E. B. Du Bois once said:
“ Children learn more from what you are than what you teach.”
By showing up with their kids, staying competitive, and trusting the paintball community to keep them safe, Hafidah and Azmi created something memorable. Not just for themselves or their children, but for the rest of us who watched it all unfold.
