The National Xball League ( NXL ) held its first European event of the 2023 season the last weekend in May in Sevenum , located in the south of the Netherlands between Belgium and Germany . The event was held at the beautiful Adventure Paradise paintball field and adventure park . In addition to supporting the local and regional paintball players , Adventure Paradise plays host to three major paintball events this season … the European Paintball League , the Deutsche Paintball Liga and the NXL .
In total there were 43 teams in attendance , from France , Germany , Spain , Portugal , Italy , Belgium , Norway , England , Denmark , Poland , Sweden and as far reaching as the United States . The first two events of the NXL European series are by invitation only and are limited to Pro , Semipro and the ladies ’ division , the WNXL . Being the first event of the season , the leaderboard is blank and everyone ’ s in first place .
Last year ’ s top five in the men ’ s Pro division at the season ’ s end were the Toulouse TonTons ( rankings winners ), followed by Breakout Spa . Italy ’ s Gladiatori Unicusano , Paris Camp Carnage and Lucky 15s Staffordshire . All five are back for the 2023 season and are expected to contend once again for a season series Pro title .

The Pro Division

In the preliminary rounds Virst Factory , who finished in seventh place in the rankings race last season , went four for four in Sevenum — and none of their games were close . Lucky 15s Staffordshire , Breakout Spa and the home team — BadBoys Sevenum each swept their brackets in the preliminaries . The TonTons , Joy Division and PPArena Pilsen each won three of the four first round games .
