Living Legends , the banner event that has been a household name for the last decade and a half , the flag ship that has spawned so many legends , is back again for the 14th time . A legendary game deserves a legendary field , and they found one . LLXIV was hosted by Hell Survivors in Pinckney , MI , a field that has stood the test of time and will continue to be a pillar in the paintball community . Living Legends has always been known for bringing titans head to head for cataclysmic clashes , for bringing paintball friends and family together , and for giving any player the opportunity to become a legend in their own rite . Year after year players come from all across the country , and the globe , to experience scenario ball against the best and brightest in the game , but what they also discover is an atmosphere unlike any other . Living Legends is not just an uncanny scenario event ; it is also a reunion to hang out with your massive paintball family , a block party with good food and great drinks , a paintball bazaar with various vendors offering various products and a campfire with trips down memory lane .
LLXIV , the clash of the titans , brings you two fierce competitors ready to lead 1000 + bloodthirsty warriors to eternal glory . Djuan “ 3D ” Mitchell , from the 13th Legionnaires , is bringing his experience , strategic knowledge and his relentless attack style to lead the Red team to victory . Elijah “ Kimbo ” Williams , a rising star and a man that should and will continue to command big games , brings his intimidating stature , lightning speed as well as his natural leadership ability to command the Blue team . These two competitors are at the top of their game and are no strangers to the winners circle . After months of recruiting , building impeccable command staffs and late-night strategic conversations , their armies were ready for battle . Paintball players , regardless of gender , age , race , political alignment or upbringing , come together to battle amongst the biggest names in paintball on one of the sport ’ s most malevolent stages . Eternal glory awaits the victors , but first one must enter through the gates of Hell .
Day one , Saturday morning , the air is thick with anticipation , excitement and the smell of coffee . Players began to stir , referees prepped the battlefield and commanders partook in some last minute strategizing . The player brief was exactly that , very brief . Rain began to fall just as the briefing was set to commence , almost as a sign from the paintball gods that they were impatiently ready to be entertained . To show the gods ’ approval that the war was beginning , the skies opened and the rain ceased for the remainder of the weekend . The warriors had readied their instruments of elimination , donned their appropriate protective equipment and began to gather in their spawn areas .
As the start time was only seconds away you could hear the hearts beating in anticipation in between the bloodthirsty cries . The horn ripped through the sky and 1000 + combatants thundered through the field to gain ground and to decimate their opponent . Kimbo and the Blue team ripped through the grinder , gaining early control of this highly , and eagerly , contested area as 3D and the Red team ripped through the city to come down on top of the Blue team . Both teams ’ savages seemed to have dug their heels in the ground and refused to lose even an inch of territory . As the battle carried on , the Red team started to over take the Blue team and began their dominance . As the Red team continued to push the Blue team they also began to gather points ; you can
