It ’ s been a long time since professional paintball has been played in Europe . But the NXL Europe ’ s German Invitational , part of the two -event EU Pro Tour this season changed that this past May 27-29 . On the docket for this event was something different than past NXL or NXL Europe events . This would be a pro-only invitational paintball tournament where the best of the best in Europe would compete on their own stage .
For this event 21 teams were invited and in attendance , including many most fans of the game would know . Teams like the Toulouse TonTons , Ronholt Blast , Joy Division , PPArena
Pilsen , Breakout Spa and many more . There was only one American team in attendance , the Camp Pendleton Raiders .
The Games
Of the 21 pro teams entered only the Toulouse TonTons and Breakout Spa won each of their four preliminary round games . No surprise , right ? Camp Pendleton Raiders , Germany ’ s Ronholt Blast , Paris Camp Carnage , Joy Division , Italy ’ s Gladiatori Unicusando and Virst Factory Team won three of their four first round games .
