Every Legends event comes to a close in the most spectacular way , nothing spells a finale quite like some fireworks . For Living Legends , the fireworks are a metaphor for the intense clash between Di Inferi and the Crusade , the final battle . The final battle finds both teams pitted up against each other on a smaller field , nowhere to go but the fifty . In the trenches that is the fifty yard line is objectives , in this particular case a spinning take on the tried and tested slapstick . The four pronged windmill type apparatus has red on opposite arms and blue on the remaining arms . The goal is simple in design but the results , successful or not , are absolutely devastating , only the true Legends need apply . The cannon blast that explodes through the air signals the start and players sprint towards objectives or bunkers . With 1000 + players divided
on the field the paint flying through the air comes close to blotting out the sun . Some players take position immediately and ready themselves to batter any would-be hero that dares to try for the slapstick , while some heroes ignore position and cover just to race to their final destination , possible points for their team and an excruciating amount of paint . As it was throughout day 2 , the Crusade showed that they would be the dominating force , they claimed more than half of the slapsticks right off the start and continued to hold them throughout this 30 minute onslaught . Di Inferi did not bow out , they continued to charge and press on hoping that they could change the slapsticks just long enough to receive more points toward their victory . CPX and Solstice Law had made changes , for safety and for fair play .
