Nexus was a King of the Hill Game ( also known as King of the “ Hood ”) with a handful of secondary objectives . One of those objectives was each team had to collect 100 of their ORBS from the center of the field . The orbs were worth a valuable five points each and players were only allowed to carry one orb at a time . This sounds a lot easier than it was when you consider at any given point 75 markers could be pointed your direction !
For every fifteen minutes that a team ’ s flag was raised in the center of the field , that team would collect 50 points . Again , sounds easy but … at one point in the game Red Dragons and Cobra teamed up to hold their flags for the allotted time , splitting the 50 points . Kamikaze General Jackie “ Jackknife ” Johnston told us , “ I remember finding out the opposing teams formed an alliance early on in the game , and wishing we would ’ ve thought of it first ! Haha !” Thinking out of the box is what makes games like these fun and the four generals here certainly did that .
Another hot mission was each team had to retrieve a black box which contained an egg . Again , the black box was located in the center of the playing fields . This would be worth another 25 points for each successful attempt by any of the four teams .
