Protocol opened the 2025 season with back-toback wins in Tampa and Atlantic City in Division Five Xball – and they would make a strong bid to three-peat in Cincinnati. All that stood between Protocol and a chance at a third straight win was S. N. A. F. U. 2, playing their first event of the season. And the unknown beat the known in this one 2-1 as the three-peat try falls just short. S. N. A. F. U. 2 would go on to beat Space Monkeys D5 in the finals 3-2.
