There were two more blowouts in the semifinals , with Edmonton Impact cruising past San Diego Aftermath 7-2 and Houston Heat sending Dynasty home early 8-4 . This set up what most people that follow pro paintball would consider the best two teams in the game , in the Philly Mid Atlantic Major NXL finals . For Houston Heat having Konstantin Fedorov back in the fold was huge , having been cleared to travel from Moscow . The addition of Tyler Harmon , the former Dynasty star was also huge . Five minutes into the final game the score was tied 1-1 and that would be as close as it would get for Edmonton Impact . Houston Heat took control of the game and although it was as close as 4-3 at one point , Heat never lost the lead , winning the game 5-3 and securing first place in Philly .
Down a level to the 24-team Semiprol division it was Arsenal , Annapolis A-Team , New Orleans Hurricanes , CEP , Brawl and Noobies each with three preliminary round wins in four games . After a second game loss to the Hurricanes , Annapolis A-Team went on quite a run , winning their remaining prelim games then beating the New Jersey Jesters 7-2 in the ocho rounds , then Wolfpack in the quarterfinals 6-5 , then sending the New Orleans Hurricanes home 7-2 in the semifinals and finally beating Blast Camp in the finals to win the event !
