The weather in Royersford , Pennsylvania this weekend saw a little bit of everything . Friday and Sunday were sunny and hot for the most part , while Saturday was schizophrenic — cloudy in the early morning , then sunny and extremely hot , then rain , the sun , the cloudy … you get the idea . The NXL ’ s Mid Atlantic Major ’ s trade show was surprisingly large , at least that was my impression . GI Sportz , Planet Eclipse , Dye , Virtue Paintball , HK and dozens of others were in attendance and the vendor area was busy all weekend .
Seven fields were used for the NXL ’ s Mid Atlantic Major , an event that saw 152 Xball teams , 13 ten-man teams , 42 five-man teams and 28 three-man teams entered .
The Games
In the Professional Division Moscow Red Legion came out hot , winning all four of their preliminary round games . Not surprisingly Edmonton Impact , Houston Heat and San Diego Dynasty won three games in the prelims . Somewhere between surprisingly and shockingly New York Xtreme not only won three of their first-round games , they nearly won them all as their only loss came at the hands of San Diego Dynasty . Seattle Thunder also won three of their four prelim games and is making the case that they need to be taken a bit more seriously .
In the Sunday ocho rounds it was Los Angeles Infamous taking down San Antonio
