Fall came to North Carolina with fantastic weather for the 17th running and the first annual Ken Spencer Memorial Fulda Gap event !
Nearly one thousand players and eight tanks took the field in what many players said was the best Fulda game in years . The Valken Graffiti and New World paint was excellent and there were 18 vendors on site to support everyone who came to play the game .
The two commanding Generals planned for almost a year in advance for this game . Preregistration was key in allowing them to prep their players before they got to the event . This year Warsaw was led by Chris Fosnacht and NATO was led by 2022 winning general Desi Johnson .
With the sides equally balanced , Saturday morning began with the sound of a firework barrage to start the game . NATO quickly found out that it was not going to be the walk in the park that they expected after the 2022 victory . Warsaw had brought their “ A ” game and , as you can tell by the attached pictures , the fighting was fierce , not only in the open country , but in the wooded areas as well . When the game ended Saturday , Warsaw had a commanding lead , but they knew that they could still lose the game on Sunday as many a Fulda has been lost on Sunday . www . paintball . media 029
