The Takeaway
Personally , I was never a Luxe “ fan boy ” but I did like Shockers , so naturally when I started playing again ( 2013 ) you think I would get a Luxe . But I never did . Someone always had one around me to borrow for a few games . After using them I was pleased each time . The owners ran case after case with them . And leaking was never a major problem . It did happen but with a quick change of o-rings and lube it was back up and running .
Even missing the 1.0s or 2.0 rush , I still did not buy one on the used market . Yes , I tried to buy a local 1.0 with a 2.0 bolt but it did not happen . I do not play a lot anymore because I help run
a field , write and do photography . I just wanted it as a newer Shocker replacement over the dated SFT . But my biggest problem was Smart Parts hitting the market with the Shocker …. and college .
Into The Future
It ’ s hard to believe what the Luxe will have inside going into the 2021 . It appears DLX keeps redesigning the bolt system . The “ wireless ” board is another innovation in design . But a major revolutionary change is the quick release of the trigger frame . Which now the Shocker AMP is incorporating with a swing away trigger frame . All to access that quick change solenoid .
