From 2002 to 2025, all of Wayne ' s games were held at his field in Ocala. The Grand Finale and St Valentine ' s Day Massacre games held at Wayne ' s World of Paintball are legendary, and both have been running for decades.
Bobby Gogolin remarked, " What I loved about Wayne ' s games is that they were a mix of stories--from Vietnam to UFOs to modern day scenarios... never the same thing twice.
Wayne would always at some point in the game become a character within the game structure. He would interact with the players as that character, further enhancing the game. He was open minded and approved props we made for different games. His game structure allowed for that kind of flexibility, all the while keeping within game parameters. He encouraged the " thinking man ' s ' game, allowing for creative solutions to in-game problems. His willingness to be involved in his own games as a character was just plain neat. Yeah, I call him Dad, because in a scenario sense, he raised me."
The scope and reach of Wayne ' s scenario events and influence are almost impossible to comprehend. Viper Games, Mackz Xtreme Sportz( MXS), Andy Van Der Plaats, Ben
Torricelli( MPP Games), Paul Devane, Bobby Gogolin, Lawrence“ TB” Wright, Spiro“ Black Cat” Mamaligas, Skirmish USA, Hell Survivors and so many others that later produced largescale scenario games got their start by working directly with Wayne or with one of his many disciples.
Literally every scenario game ever run in America and beyond can be traced back to Wayne Dollack in just a few steps,“ Six Degrees from Kevin Bacon” style. All of the early scenario game producers learned the“ formula” from Wayne and carried it on in their games from the late 1990s to the mid-2000s. And the vast majority of today ' s scenario producers have played in, were inspired by, or emulated games produced by Wayne Dollack.
And Dollack’ s games reached into Canada quickly as well. Speaking on Wayne’ s influence, Joe Kimpson of Flag Raiders( Canada), established in 1983, told me,“ We went to Wayne’ s fall game of 1993 [ in Ocala ]. The next year, we were writing our own scenario game story [ about ] the night of the OJ Simpson chase. June 17, 1994.” The game was called Phoenix Project, and it ran from 1994 to 2020.
