Benn Torricelli, 2004

2003: The Beginning of the Scenario Game Gold Rush

The year 2003 was the start of a new wave of scenario producers and more games around the country than ever before. Perhaps most notably, Ben Torricelli, who with the help of his wife Bonnie, formed Millennium Paintball Productions( MPP) after his split with Wayne Dollack the previous year.
Ben Torricelli is another legendary early Florida player and business owner who got his start as a player in 1984. Ben would eventually play for the tournament team Bad Company of Florida before partnering with Paul Devane to run the annual year-end event called“ Florida ' s Last Blast.” As previously mentioned, Ben and Paul( for a time) merged the Last Blast into Wayne ' s
Grand Finale, and they would run under the company name Florida Paintball Productions.
Millennium Paintball Productions( MPP). MPP ran most of their games in the Southeast at places like Bear Claw Paintball in Fayetteville, Tennessee, Paintball Charleston in South Carolina, although they did run a few games in places like California and Chicago. Ben officially retired from paintball in 2017, although MPP games were few and far between by then.
A few years earlier, in 2000, Bill Bailey founded WW2 Tour of Duty, a Midwest regional series that ran as many as ten events each year, staging many of his games at his home field, Bailey’ s Battlefield in Niangua, Missouri.
