Things like Aftershock winning the World Cup six of the first ten seasons of the NPPL ’ s existence . But this is a different time and a different era in paintball .
Chicago Aftershock last played the NXL in 2018 — and it wasn ’ t pretty . The team finished dead last in a Professional field of 20 teams . Any memories of the dominant 90s Aftershock team long faded . In the off-season ahead of the 2019 campaign ‘ Shock called it quits in the NXL and pursued the NXL ’ s sister woodsball league , the ICPL , which was presumably and rightfully so at the time , a better fit for ‘ Shock .
But Chicago Aftershock is back in the league with legend Todd Adamson as its owner and Todd Martinez , a legend in his own mind right , as its superstar coach . The team has announced the signings of Nick Slowiak , Corey Hall , Alex “ Arod ” Rodriguez , LJ Parrish and a bevy of other names you ’ d probably know . Watch out World Cup !
