In 2002 PaintballFit missed out on winning the NXL Semipro season rankings title by a single point , finishing with 481 seed points to Austin Notorious ’ 482 points . A year later Notorious moved up to the Pro ranks where they finished in 18th place in a field of 20 teams . Things went much better for PaintballFit in 2023 though . Somehow , some way , PaintballFit became the best Semipro team in the history of Semipro paintball , winning all five 2023 events and cementing themselves as the only Semipro team to do so since Charles Gaines , Bob Gurnsey and Hayes Noel invented this crazy game in 1981 .
Equally incredible and unlikely is the fact that in each of the five events , PaintballFit matched up against Blastcamp in the finals . That was also a first . And somehow , PaintballFit came away with the “ W ” all five times .
