The team partnered with the local radio station , Q106 , and other local businesses , and they were able to rally 200 players in support of the cause at Hell Survivors in August .
The event put a spotlight on an issue that is becoming epidemic in our community . Every single faction in this sport was touched by the loss of someone they knew last year due to mental health struggles . The primary purpose of the event was to remind people to check on each other . None of us are in this alone .
Proceeds from registration , the silent auction , and sponsor-driven raffle went to benefit the family and suicide awareness foundations . But perhaps more importantly , it showed the generosity of the paintball community in supporting its extended family in every way we can . When we work together , we can accomplish great things .
