It is a dark time for the Rebellion . Although the Death Star has been destroyed , Imperial troops have driven the Rebel forces from their hidden base and pursued them across the galaxy .
Evading the dreaded Imperial Starfleet , a group of freedom fighters led by Dan Donohoe has established a new secret base on the remote ice world of Blastcamp Paintball .
The Evil Lord JZ Zangara , obsessed with finding young Donohoe , has dispatched thousands of remote probes into the far reaches of space to discover the Rebel ’ s secret base ! Zangara is now on his way to crush the rebellion . Knowing that the Empire has won this battle for the last 4 years , he assumes that victory will surely be his . Little does he know ; the Rebels know they are coming and stand ready to meet their aggressors on the battlefield .
Being one of the longest running events in the Midwest , Battle of Hoth has just concluded its 13th year as the forces of light and dark battle over the frozen missile base we know as Blastcamp Paintball .
Battle of Hoth is very Light Saber friendly . This gives participants the option to run around wielding their favorite light saber to eliminate players , start duels with other Light Saber users and earn points for their team by getting kills or completing lightsaber-based missions .
Battle of Hoth has a variety of specially made 3-D printed props to meet the standards of its Sci-Fi theme with shiny paint jobs and glowing LEDs . Thermal detonators , Snow speeders , Jet Packs , Light Sabers , Beskar ingots and life size C3PO are just a few of the props you will see and interact with during the event . Not to mention countless full wardrobe costumes for guest appearances from a few Star Wars fan favorites like Boba Fett , Han Solo and The Armorer to name a few !
