Dave Massey and Ed Stapleton - Dave and Ed are co-owners of Hell Survivors in Michigan , one of the longest-running paintball fields in the world ( started in 1984 ). Some of the many things Hell Survivors has been credited for include being the first field to use barrel covers as standard equipment in 1986 ; first field to use a player ID system ; and one of the only fields in the 80s and early 90s to allow full-auto markers . Dave in particular , was a key contributor to the growth of the early game and was one of the more vocal field owners when manufacturers were setting standards in the 80s and 90s .
Mike “ Pev ” Peverill – From humble beginnings in the basement of a strip shopping center in Woodbridge , Virginia , Mike Peverill built a retail empire around the first store that bore his name . Pev ’ s went on to become the largest retail paintball chain in the industry , with multiple fields and multiple stores in the Washington , DC area . Pev retired from professional paintball with Bad Company to grow this chain of fields and stores , and had his hands in other projects as well . Pev had a hand in publishing PCRI , a newspaper packed with competitions and gear reviews , and Pev was tapped to head the Procaps for a short spell . Most recently , Pev built his paintball field outside Washington , DC and hosted a professional tournament there in 2009 with the NPPL , attracting outside sponsors like Range Rover . In addition to his paintball field , Pev works for GoSports .
Adrian Villaca , Jay Muncaster - Bet this is a name you don ’ t know . Villaca was the person instrumental in securing the Toronto Skydome , hose site of the 1998 Skyball event . Though his company didn ’ t produce every Skyball event held at the Toronto Skydome since , playing paintball inside the amazing sports facility has been a high point for the sport ever since . And while Adrian was the key player in making Skyball happen , Jay Muncaster also played a huge roll in making the events happen .
Kerry “ Viper ” Rosenberry - Viper ’ s playing days go back as far as the late 1980s where he was part of a woodsball team called Marion ’ s Raiders , based out of Ocala . Florida . Teammates with Wayne Dollack , the originator of roleplaying scenario games , it shouldn ’ t come as a surprise that once he moved to the Houston area , Viper himself began producing scenario games . Viper ’ s games have been played on the fields of EMR Paintball , SC Village , Camp Blanding and all around the U . S . but he may be best-known for writing the scenario for Living Legends for seven years .
