Andy Greenwell – Navarone , aka . The guns Of Navarone were the first tournament paintball team to secure a factory-level sponsorship when they signed with JT USA early in 1987 . The captain of that team was the late Andy Greenwell . Navarone was a team way ahead of its time . They had a playbook , set plays , a player ranking system and did so many things that would not be duplicated for a decade . Navarone changed the way early tournament paintball was played and Andy was the brains behind the operation .
KAPP Kids - Alex Fraige , Yosh Rau , Brain Cole , Ryan Greenspan , Kenny Chamberlain - Five young kids fly across the U . S ., from Canada to Pittsburgh with a few dollars in their pockets , and leave the field driving five brand new Ford Mustangs ; nice . Winning the Spyder Cup was only the start for this group as they have become the most dominating paintball team in history as Dynasty .
Chris LaSoya - You will notice there are not many player-only names on this list but Chris
LaSoya is one of the few exceptions . When Chris and his Miami Effect team left the NXL in 2004 due to what they called “ unfairly not letting us play in other leagues ”, he forced those in charge of tournament leagues worldwide to take notice . Sometimes the team , and in this case the player , is the star , not the league . The NXL changed the rule in short order . Chris won with Effect , with Infamous , and with Avalanche , he had a huge gun endorsement ( and cut of each sale ) and for a decade was the face of tournament paintball . Chris is back competing in classic events in 2020-2021 .
Oliver Lang - We said Ollie was crazy for leaving the comforts of playing for the best tournament paintball team in the world , Dynasty . Two years later , Ollie ’ s made us all look a little foolish after taking a position at Dye and helping drive the Ironmen to success . Most recently Ollie had been back with Dynasty after a long soulsearching period . It remains to be seen if he will compete in 2021 . Many consider Ollie the best player in tournament history .
