Daniel Bacci , Ralph “ RJ ” Torrell – Daniel and RJ are the two most prolific paintball guns and gear collectors in the world . They are both unbelievably knowledgeable in the area of paintball equipment history , each sharing their passion with the paintball world in different ways . Daniel has a very active webpage and Facebook page where he shares his findings , new videos and interviews with old school players , manufacturers and designers . Ralph travels with his paintball museum to various events , bringing guns and gear from the almost 40 years of the game .
Mike “ Boogie ” Bogolub – Like so many on this list Boogie wore multiple hats in the game over his 35-plus years . He ’ s worked for Benjamin Sheridan in the late 80s and early 90s while playing on the Annihilators and over the years he has played with and guested on many teams . But his biggest contribution in the game probably came as a referee and head ref for the NPPL / PSP and original NXL , where has was known as one of the toughest refs on the field and also one of the most fair and thoughtful refs in the game .
Don Dekieffer - Don was an attorney by trade and the official council for the NPPL at its inception . From the late 1980s until the mid-1990s Don really led the charge to “ internationalize ” the game of paintball . He ( and his team Green Machine [ captained by Todd Inman ]) raised funds and traveled to places like Montreal , Canada ( 1985 ), Johannesburg , Capetown , Durban , Africa ( 1988 ), Sydney , Australia ( 1991 ) and Moscow , Russia in 1994 . Don was an advisor to the International Paintball Players Association ( IPPA ) in the early 90s and was a cofounder of the American Paintball Industry Committee with Jessica Sparks . Sadly , Don passed away in 2011 .
Shelley Farmer – Paintball bloodlines run deep in the Farmer family with Shelley ’ s father being the legendary British player Bart Farmer , uncle Rafe Farmer a member of also legendary Bart ’ s Stud Squad and Mom , or should I say “ mum ” Lesley Hickson , a paintball player , tournament promoter and assistant in her own right . But don ’ t let any of that fool you , Shelly is a powerhouse player , paintball broadcaster and ambassador for the game — fitting for a Farmer .
