Was this the Final Frostbite for an On Target Classic ?
As the paintball season draws to a close in the Pennsylvania Tri-State region , three things are certain : temperatures will drop , and players are looking for one last place to dump their leftover paint supplies . On Target Paintball ( OTP ) in Pemberton , NJ historically provides a solution for this twopronged issue : one last event with a “ bring your own paint ” policy that they called Winterbrawl
It ’ s a tough sell , to be sure . For players , the conditions are harsh , and for the producers , the profit margins can be nominal . But this battle of pseudosnowmen armies quickly became a community tradition .
Eastern Paintball League ( EPL ), Eric “ Big E ” Holland decided to resurrect it after Covid , a season that had everyone looking for social events . He partnered with Tim Souders of Dyzana who developed a lot of the original artwork for promotion and continues to support the event as a sponsor .
But with changes in the relationships in the Tri State region , the future of this event is unclear .
“ I love Winterbrawl ,” Holland said . “ So when I actually made the commitment to do the event this year , I went all in .”
Original to OTP , starting roughly a decade ago as a season-ending event for the Tri-State area , Winterbrawl dwindled in attendance in the mid-2000s and then disappeared altogether . But as his relationship with On Target deepened through the development of
