That was followed by a pair of mercy matches with the Hurricanes besting ac: Diesel, and Uprising over Infamous.
The TonTons annihilated a sluggish ac: Diesel who played like they were already done for the season and went through the motions through the entire event.
Like any good symphony, the tension built slowly and the crescendo came in the battle between Infamous and Heat. After the back and forth, a penalty was called at the buzzer on Ryan Moorhead. It appeared the match was going to overtime and that the penalty didn’ t matter because only a 1v1 can end a tie. If the major is assessed upon a 1v1, then Heat wouldn’ t have a body to compete and thus Infamous would win by default.
Red Legion went on a bender against the international community. First, squaring up on Break Spa. As the European Champions, Spa was placed in the leaders brackets and awarded a bye into Sunday. Legion went up 3-0. Spa answered right
Photo By Matt Clayton, shot on 35mm film back, tying the match. But Legion flipped the switch again, dominated the rest of the match, and won 6-3.
Later in the day, Legion faced the Latin American Champions, Papeletto, and gave a warm welcome to the Pro field to the Brazilians by issuing a perfect 6-0 match.
Friday, the spectacle continued. To start the morning, Leverage surprised the New Orleans Hurricanes with a 3-0 win. And PaintballFit and Impact fought a slugfest. After a string of tough breakouts for Fit, Impact quickly established dominance going up 3-1. But Fit rallied and answered back, tying the match at 3. Michael Urena would go aggro in the next point, running down the entirety of the Fit line taking a four-pack to secure the lead once again, but the joy was short-lived as a costly major penalty on Brandon Cornell sent the match to overtime. Fit played a conservative overtime, and barely edged out the titans of the north taking the match 5-4, and securing their spot for Sunday.
