Joust

Hormesis, a brand that has become synonymous with style in paintball, opened a booth that could have rivaled the Angel booth of yore. But rather than fitting it out with scantily clad eye candy, Oliver Lang decided to run a Joust competition in tandem with the events at‘ Cup.
Players visiting the booth were able to register on site and to compete with street ball-style teams for prizes large and small. It was a phenomenal space to promote the proprietary format that took the country by storm last season, and likely seeks to expand globally in the future.

… and a Wedding

And as an aside, this World Cup saw Bear Ridge’ s Blaine“ Povo” Povalitis wed his long-term girlfriend Kat Romenis on the Pro Field before the competition got hot. Povilaitis is a pillar of the BR / Jungle Cats system having played for them at the semipro level, and Romenis has become an integral part of the support staff for the BR Factory system, especially at the D2 level. The ceremony was officiated by their mutual friend Ty Webb, and they were surrounded by members of the BR community with everyone clad in Jungle Cats attire as they exchanged their vows. The nuptials were living proof that paintball is deeper than just a hobby or a sport; it’ s family.
