way to the quarters, but were matched up against the most dominant force in the division, Filthy. Protocol went down swinging, taking the match to a tight 4-3, and showed a tremendous amount of discipline. It will be interesting to see if they return next season for a run at winning ' Cup.
Drama played out in the quarterfinals on Sunday in D4 as a surprise Texas Cyclones found themselves head-to-head with Gunnerz, and it was Alabama who came out ahead 4-3. Hydra Kidz, fresh from the youth division, upset Smoke Red in a statement 5-1 win. Pay attention to these kids. They are going to be around for a while. But the kids then saw their brothers from SUWT absolutely shut down by Ohio Outlaws in a 4-0 beatdown.
Hydra Kidz went on to knock off the Gunnerz in the semis 3-2, and they faced the Ohio Outlaws for a chance at gold. Outlaws came out ahead, but not without a fight, as they wrestled the gold away from the young guns in a photo finish 3-2 win.
The season rankings were decided on the opposite end of the finals bracket. After both of the top teams were upset in the semis, they faced off in an epic match for the‘ Cup bronze medal. The Gunnerz slow-rolled the win 2-1 to earn the third place spot for the event, and that also gave them the six points overall to take first place over Filthy. Keep your eyes on this one. It has the makings of an epic rivalry written all over it.

Division 5 Xball

Coming all the way from French Polynesia for World Cup competition, Phoenix Tahiti found themselves at the top of a field of 37 teams in D5 X-Ball competition on Sunday afternoon as they squared up against SoCal Havoc Misfits, and they came up big with a 3-0 win for a finals berth.
Opposite this match was the Space Monkeys out of Ohio and the team sitting in first place overall, Protocol.
