The quarterfinals would have Brawl surprise Asylum 3-1, ending any of Louisville’ s hopes for a series title. And Malicious issued a statement 3-0 win to the Beefy Boys that not only earned them a shot at the semifinals, but it also knocked the number 4 seed out of contention and opened a door for The red hot Rejects to slide into the one-seed in the semifinals.
In the semis, Malicious came up big again, taking a buzzer-beater win over Brawl. And in an upset, the Rejects knocked the Noobies off of the board, leaving the entire season of the New Jersey kids in the balance. The Noobies came back in the bottom bracket of the finals to defeat Brawl 3-2, which was enough to hold on to the series title.
But it was the upstart squad, The Rejects, who won the day, ending the run of Malicious with a 5-3 win and World Cup gold medal placed around their necks.

Division 3 Xball

As always, Division 3 is often a virtual turnstile of teams and talents who are all on the cusp of their big break in competitive paintball. This is without a doubt the level that makes or breaks teams and separates the wheat from the chaff of players.
A massive 42 teams entered the D3 competition at‘ Cup. Among them were five teams that demonstrated the most consistency in D3 and, unsurprisingly, the ones who came out on top: The AG Knights, NR Factory, BR Factory, KC Sports Complex, and New Jersey Filthy.
In fact, Filthy had two first-place finishes this season, but missed Texas, a decision that likely cost them the season title. They ended in a tie for third place on the season with Gulf Coast Ragtag Army.
