The finals match between Wrecking Crew and Shock was long and slow. Both teams played the match to not lose, and Shock, seemingly gassed from their run in the Semis couldn’ t unlock Crew’ s defense. Wrecking Crew came out ahead 2-1 for the gold. No sooner had the final buzzer sounded, everyone looked to the ranking board for the splits. With Shock coming into World Cup in 6th place in the division and Wrecking Crew in 8th, even a gold medal wasn’ t going to be enough to secure them a series title. And with all of the top seeds falling in the same quarterfinals round, placements came down to point spreads and games won. was enough to place them at seventh overall. And the Jungle Cats would end up placing in 5th for the event, earning them enough points to hold on to their one-seed, eke out the series title, and edge their way into the Pro Division for 2026.
