Semipro Xball coverage

The Semipro Division has been a wild west battleground all season long, and the trend continued at World Cup.
The season started with TPPCrew taking home a declarative gold medal in Tampa in a performance that looked to be setting a new standard for the Puerto Ricans. Preferred Mob finished with an uncharacteristic 22nd at that event, and left some people scratching their heads as to what was to come. The remainder of the season shook out with three standout teams battling for the top spot and a chance for a spot in the Pro Division next season: BR Factory( who
rebranded themselves mid-season as the Jungle Cats), Wyldside Distortion, and L. A. Collision. Fewer than forty points separated these top three teams coming into the event, and with the double-point award at World Cup, that put nine other teams in contention with them for the title. So, although there were a handful of favorites among the organizations, this division was truly wide open going into this event.
Adding to the intrigue on the premier field, 26 teams were entered into the division. The competition was joined by the likes of Project X All Stars out of Puerto Rico, Mexico’ s Armada and Sycarios, Black Legion of France, New Zealand’ s own Manatwatu Titans, the Bally Boys a mix of British players from CPPS, and a revival of a legendary team in upTon CRew.
