Russell gave the same sentiment , crediting the support he received from Valkyrie , Billy Gee , and Tyler “ Sugar ” Gray for keeping the missions flowing and allowing him to focus on troop movements .
The red team ( European Union ) surprised everyone with their success , overcoming the odds . Even without any shenanigans , electronic assistance , or the use of unauthorized vehicles , they fought a back-and-forth battle to be proud of .
The game literally came down to the final mission . Both teams having spent the day negotiating with Barney , trading with role players , and fighting to secure props around the field , were in possession of four actual hard drives apiece . These drives were to be inserted into drive cages , which then activated a lighting system and audible countdown to the fictitious satellite G . A . M . B . I . T ., host to the orbital Artifact .
The Blue team arrived first and activated the countdown with instructions to hold the position for fourteen minutes . A heated battle ensued outside of the building where this system was set . Despite a tremendous effort , the Red team was unable to push the U . S . contingent out of the position in time , and the mission would be the deciding factor in the game . the EU gave .
As for Riley , he was proud of his accomplishments as well .
“ It was definitely a fun way to lose ,” he said , “ And we did make a run for it . When we lost that final mission , there was still enough time in the game to pin them in their insert and go secure all of the flags on the field for final points .”
Which they nearly did , losing only the flag in the boats field , the one that would separate them .
As for Sandman , this was a three-peat victory , an accomplishment he is rightfully relishing in .
And , now that the producers have completely annihilated the history of the 1990s , there is one question on everyone ’ s minds : Will The Collapse return for a fifth chapter ? Or will we see this production evolve into a new campaign for 2025 ?
